Advani & Tulsian ousted

Calcutta: Eight-time world billiards champion Pankaj Advani and his partner Rajesh Tulsian were knocked out of the Kolkata Open National Invitation Snooker Championship Pro-Am doubles quarter finals, here, at the Hindusthan Club, on Tuesday.

Advani and Tulsian, representing Turtle, lost 2-3 to Siddharth Parikh and Anil Poddar of Ashika. The scoreline read 69-42, 20-73, 65-33, 27-64, 68-4.

The final, on Wednesday, will witness Sourav Kothari and Ankit Kariwala of Frontech taking on Baazar Kolkata, which features Aditya Mehta and Ravi Goenka. Sourav and Ankit rallied from a frame down to win the contest 22-61, 60-18, 76-66, 44-66, 61-49 against JK Jain Group’s Brijesh Damani and Shreevardhan Poddar in their semi-final clash.

Aditya and Ravi defeated Parikh and Poddar 61-06, 60-09, 41-51, 72-06 in the other semi-final.
