A first for MS Dhoni
Mahendra Singh Dhoni is likely to make his debut as commentator during India’s first-ever Day-Night Test scheduled at the Eden form November 22.
The official broadcaster has a plan to bring all the Test captains of India to the commentary box for sharing their memorable experiences. That will also be replayed on the giant screen at Eden Gardens during the breaks.
According to an advisory from the official broadcaster to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI): “Captains will appear on commentary as guests through the day to recollect their favourite moments from India’s Test history.”
Former India Test captains will be present during the first and second days of the Test, which will be played between India and Bangladesh.
The cricket fans will also get chance to interact with former cricketers who will be present as commentators during breaks on all five day of the Test match.
The broadcaster will organise audio commentary for the fans present at the Eden.
The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) is likely to felicitate India’s Test captains with a gold coin, which will have a special logo embossed on it.
