Calcutta: As many as 40 schools will be taking part in the Keventer Cup, an initiative of the Debanjan Sen Foundation, this year.

With the opening on June 28, in an exhibition match featuring East Bengal under-19 and the FPAI XI, the main phase of the competition begins on July 1. The final is on July 19.

The teams will be divided into eight groups, and the top two from each group will make the pre-quarters. The organisers this year have entered into a tie-up with East Bengal. They also have plans for under-13 and under-14 level meets with the help of some ISL franchises and I-League clubs.
