This app has been designed by Restrata, a British firm for security and safety management, hired by the IPL. This firm had also worked with the England and Wales Cricket Board during the bio-secure Test series against the West Indies and Pakistan.

Sources told The Telegraph that UAE-based VPS Healthcare will also be in charge of maintaining bio-security protocols at the venues and practice facilities.

“Restrata employees are working on their plans. The app is their brainchild and it worked with success during the two series in the UK. Everyone who is part of the bubble has to have the app.

“The Bluetooth technology, devised by Restrata, will also help track and trace any suspected outbreaks of Covid-19 within the environment,” sources told The Telegraph.

The Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab will be reaching the UAE on Thursday.
