The best way to get rid of any spyware is to do a factory reset of the phone. Go to Settings-Backup & Reset. Under Personal data, choose 'Factory data reset'. The phone will list the items that will be wiped out during this process. Tap Reset Phone followed by Erase Everything. Since she will lose all her personal texts, photos and videos, she should back up her data before doing a reset. This is done by going to Settings-Accounts. Choose your Google account and sync everything.

I would also strongly advise your friend to change the password of her Google account and any other account that her ex-husband had access to. Another option is to install the free Anti Spy app from the Google Play store. This app will detect any spy programs on the phone and give her the option to delete them. The best way to do this is to get a third party app called Easy File Locker. The tool is free and comes in two versions-a 32-bit and 64-bit. You can add files and folders that you want to protect simply by clicking the Add File button. You will also be able to hide your private files and folders and keep prying eyes away. Once you install the tool, you can set a password so that no one can launch the application or uninstall the software without the correct password. There are many apps that claim to download YouTube videos directly to an iOS device, but such apps do not last very long on the App Store. The creators of YouTube videos like to place ads on the clips to earn some money and Google protects them by frequently changing the link format that these apps use to download videos. I would advise you to save the videos offline. YouTube itself provides this feature. When a video is playing in the YouTube app, tap the Save button under the clip to watch it offline. However, this feature may not be available for some videos.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to transfer your chat history from a Windows phone to an Android or iPhone. However, you can manually transfer all your SD card contents such as photos and videos to the other phone and email your chats. Open the chat you wish to export. Tap on More--info or group info. Tap on More again and email the chat history. The chat history will be attached to the generated email as a .txt file. It is a painstaking process because you will have to do this for all your chats and groups.
