Equal, Equal, Half and Laugh

That day is coming, I mean it has come every year to those who have been on Earth, that day is not one day, but four days in every 365 and a quarter or so days

That day is coming, it comes all the time, I mean every year, it has come every year to those who have been on this baked orb called Earth. That day is not one day, that day is four days in every 365 and a quarter or so days. Equinox. Solstice. Two of each.

Two of those are about equal things, day and night, equal and equal, although how are we to agree on when day begins and when it ends. There’s a thing called daybreak and then there’s a thing called twilight, wondrous things both during which magical things may happen if you are willing and suggestive to magical things. And none of them takes their own time transpiring. Fortunately so. And again, tough to tell whether or not they take equal time transpiring as interregnum during the two equinox days. Anyone here who has bothered measuring?

Anyhow. What happens between them on equinoxes is equal, or so we are told. It is good to believe what we are told, we are people of faith, we believe, we believe to extents that we believe blindly andare proud to proclaim our-selves fhakts.

The other two, believe me you, are about unequal things. Solstices. They denote to us a day much longer than the night and a night much longer than the day. Ab batao.

Sorry to sound a bit like a geography class, although this is quite another subject according to me but that subject is not part of the syllabus at school level (a lot of things are becoming not part of the school-level syllabus BTW), and I am very much a school-level man. I never went to college-follege, no matter what I may claim at a later date. You know me, you get the hint, you know who I am, a school-level person.

But where were we? Ah, unequal things, solstices. The real things, according to me, are unpretending things because nothing is really equal. They lied about the word, there lies subterfuge in the very invention of it. Never believe someone who tells you they shall be equal in manner, or that they will employ equality as yardstick. Learn to suspect them as they are peddling a spurious thing, playing a trick on you, goofing.

Equinoxes are a thing but we have demonstrated above how they believe their name and definition and are, in truth, not equal. Pick solstices, they are about things that are bigger than other things and things that are smaller than other things. And then you’ll have equipped yourself with a smarter and layered way of understanding the world around you.

Walk up to the busy tellerI mean at your local branchAnd tell him, d’you know feller? With me do aur do is paanch.
