Jajpur: The district administration will organise the two-day long Nijukti Mela, a job fair, in January this year.
This event will be organised at two places in two different blocks of the district on January 8 and 9, official sources said.
The two-day job fair is being jointly organised by the Jajpur district administration in collaboration with the State Employment Mission.
While the fair would be inaugurated at Government Industrial Training Institute at Baruan under Jajpur block on January 8, it will be concluded at the Government Polytechnic Institute in Ragadi in Korei block on January 9, said Jajpur district collector Ranjan Kumar Das.
The collector said the job fair was specially designed to provide employment opportunities to the unemployed youths of the district.
"A person who has passed Class V to graduates, including technical/non-technical professionals, could seek jobs at the fair. Job seekers or unemployed youths in the age group of 18-35 years and in a few cases up to 40 years are advised to make use of the opportunities at the employment fair," the district collector said.
Twenty established private companies from India and abroad are taking part in the fair.
These organisations will provide a wide variety of jobs to the unemployed youth. Apart from engineering and management offers, there will be jobs for waiters, cooks and security guards at the fair.
About 10,000 young people from 10 blocks across the district are expected to take part in the fair.
"Efforts will be made to conduct more job fairs in the coming days in the district," said the collector.
Around 30,000 educated youths of the district have registered in Jajpur town and Jajpur Road employment exchanges.
