Bhubaneswar, Nov. 11: Ace Odia film director Ashok Pati is all set to direct his new venture Sapath – A war between two brothers.

The film was launched on Wednesday evening in the presence of members of the film fraternity.

As the title of the film suggests, Sapath is about the tumultuous relationship of two brothers Satyaprakash and Pravu played by Mihir and Aakash Das Nayak. Satyaprakash is revered as the saviour of the subjugated. Kind at heart, he has never hesitated to fight against the goons or law when it comes to providing justice to the deprived and disadvantaged.

Pravu, his lone brother is his backbone. However, in the process of rendering justice to the needy, both the brothers invite a number of enemies in their lives who at every step try to break the trust and bonding between the two.

The enemies, however, succeed in creating a rift between them. Hurt and betrayed, Satyaprakash chooses the path of violence and crime. Caught in the tussle between the brothers is Pravu’s love interest, played by Archita.

Whether the two brothers meet at the end or move their separate ways is the end line of the story. Pati has joined hands with first time film producers Magnum Media for the project. Sapath is one of Pati’s most ambitious projects and the director has roped in some of the best of technicians from the Odia industry.

“This film is close to my heart and I want to give my 100 per cent to the film. I do not want the audience to criticise about any aspect of my film and that is why I have included in my team the best of technically sound persons from Orissa as well as Mumbai film industry,” said the director.

Music director Prashant Padhi will be scoring the music of the film and the Ramendra Behera will take care of the cinematography.

“Ashok Pati is a dynamic and a very successful director of Odia film industry. He has done justice to all his films and I trust him very much. I play a vital role in the film and people will get to see a new side of me that they have never seen before,” said actor Aakash Das Nayak, present at the launch function. The film will be shot at some of the beautiful locations of Odisha and will be presented to the audience as their Utkal Divas gift in April. The film is also being shot in Bhubaneswar.
