| Teachers thoroughly check the bags of students before allowing them to enter their classrooms at Ayatpur High School in Cuttack on Wednesday. The school authorities have constituted a review committee to suggest security measures after a crude bomb explosion in a classroom on Monday left 22 students injured. “This (checking of bags) is being done as a precautionary measure. The students are still in a state of shock,” said headmistress Prativa Mohanty. Rajkumar Das, a Class IX student, had allegedly carried the bomb in his bag. He told police that he found the crude bomb from an isolated place near the school. Students said Rajkumar had created a nuisance outside the classroom on several occasions and used to harass girl students. “We had heard that he had earlier brought a gun to school,” said Sunita Pradhan, a classmate.
