People thronged Patha Utsav to listen to the popular singer, who became a household name in Odisha following his emphatic win in a TV reality show.

He ensured that the public reciprocated his powerful renditions and garnered much applause as he sang Rangabati and Odia commercial song Ei Barsha. The popular singer also sang other hit numbers such as Teri galiyan and Mar jau yaa jilun jaara and left the audience mesmerized with his on-stage charisma. "It was great to see such energy among people early in the morning," said Mohanty. The singer was also felicitated by Bhubaneswar Development Authority vice-chairman Krishan Kumar and given a portrait of himself by an artist. Singer Rosalin Sahoo also gave an electrifying performance. Shantidham Foundation organised an audition for its upcoming Jhoom, a dance event meant for orphans, physically challenged and transgender people. People from across the state were there to take part in the event. The highlight of the day was a campaign to promote gifting plants hosted by Bakul Foundation.
