Lord under tent

While the Lord remained in the sanctum sanctorum keeping lakhs of devotees waiting for a glimpse during the Rath Yatra on Sunday, a miniature form of the Lord inside a tent at the sea beach allured the devotees. People were seen passing by the tents, bowing down and praying before the miniature form of the Lord Jagannath. 

Jumping kids

A trampoline was set up on the beach by a social organisation that became a crowd puller for underprivileged kids. The children were seen having fun jumping on it. 

Sand art

A number of sand art installations at various parts of Puri added colour to the festivities. A number of sand artists created innovative designs on the beach. Most of these were on gods, goddesses or Odisha tourism.

Rath for kids

While the Trinity travelled to the Gundicha Temple in their huge chariots, little idols of the deities moved around in the alleys of the holy town in little chariots pulled by children. Around 50 small handmade chariots rolled in the nooks and corners of the town.
