Students' union poll aspirants at a rally near Rama Devi Women's University in Bhubaneswar on Friday.

A convention titled What I Stand For was held in all the colleges, which are slated to go on polls on Saturday. The meet gave the aspirants a chance to share their thoughts on their motives to join politics.

Minor violence was witnessed at a few colleges across the state. Precautionary measures have been taken to ensure peaceful polls. Only those students who have cleared their dues, dressed in proper college uniforms and carrying their identity cards will be allowed to vote. Students will not be allowed to enter the college with mobile phones, food packets, push cards and water pouches during the election. The polling will begin at 8am tomorrow and results will declared on the same day.
