Bhubaneswar, May 2: Ankita Mohapatra, who had made the state proud by winning the Gladrags megamodel title in 2009, has got an offer to act in a Bollywood film.

She is now spending as much time as she can with her family in Bhubaneswar, before the shoot begins.

Recently, Ankita made it to the final five of the Miss India pageant where she earned the Bollywood Diva title. Ankita received an offer from film producer Sajid Nadiadwala during the pageant.

“I had always dreamt of Bollywood and I have been a passionate film lover. But when I received the offer I felt numb for a few moments until I realised I had actually made it to the Hindi film industry,” said Ankita. “I’m really excited about making my debut with such a big banner,” she said. Though the gorgeous 23-year-old has no training in acting and has never shot in front of the camera, she is confident about giving her best.

“I have always worked hard towards my ambition, be it anything, from studies to modelling,” said Ankita, a B. Tech from Silicon Institute of Technology in the city. “I will put in my efforts to prove myself in the field of acting. Since Mahesh Bhatt had chosen me as the winner of Gladrags and the jury at the Miss India pageant showed their belief in me, I’m sure I will prove them right,” she said.

An ardent Hrithik Roshan fan, Ankita longs to work with the superstar someday. “I love everything about Hrithik — his dancing skills, acting, eyes and the down-to-earth person that he is. I really wish to work with him in future,” she said.

The young beauty also said that she would like to contribute to Oriya cinema.

“We have a wonderful film industry here and we can definitely make it better so that generations to come will be motivated. I would definitely spend as much time in Orissa as possible and involve myself with the film fraternity here for the industry’s growth,” she said.
