Bhubaneswar: Orissa High Court has reserved judgment in the case of incorrect questions in Odisha Judicial Service (Preliminary) Examination - 2015. It heard the arguments of both sides on Wednesday. The future of more than 2,000 state judicial service aspirants continues to hang in the balance as Odisha Public Service Commission has been unable to go ahead after conducting the preliminary examination because of legal issues.

Monsoon session

Bhubaneswar: The monsoon session of the Odisha Assembly will start from August 18. It will end on August 29. The state government intends to pass some important bills in this session.  

Nayapalli raid

Bhubaneswar: The economic offences wing of the state crime branch on Thursday conducted a raid at the office of Samruddha Jeevan Multi-state Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited, a money deposit-collection company functioning in 16 states across the country. The raid took place at its office in Nayapalli. 

Officials said the company was entitled to provide loans to the public but not authorised to collect deposits from investors by luring them with the promise of high returns. The company has 36 branches in Odisha.

Lion cubs

Bhubaneswar: Lioness Rukmini gave birth to two cubs at the Nandankanan zoo on Thursday. The four-year-old lioness and her newborns have been kept under surveillance. The zoo authorities are keeping track of their movement and 
behaviour through closed-circuit television cameras.
