Bhubaneswar: Khara-vel Nagar police on Friday arrested two snatchers and seized gold ornaments weighing around 80 grams from them. The accused had been identified as Tejraj Ahmad Khan, 21, and Maheswar Sahu, 19. Police said both of them were involved in three incidents in Kharavel Nagar area in last three months. Kendrapara: Police rescued a minor girl, who was kidnapped from Ayatipur village under Mahakalpada police station jurisdiction a fortnight back. The accused had been identified as 25-year-old Deepak Kumar Parida. He was arrested from Cuttack railway station. Bhubaneswar: The state government announced the list of teachers to be nominated for the national award. The list includes, Satyabhama Muduli, Lalita Khanda, Alekh Chandra Nayak, Jyotirmayee Nath, Prahallad Naik, Pratap Chandra Jena, Bhaskar Chandra Padhi Durga Prasad Maharana, Niranjan Dash and Sachidananda Sahoo. Bhubaneswar: Odia sculptor Tutu Pattnaik will be participating in the International Sculpture Symposium to be held in China. He is the only artist from India to participate in the international event to be held from September 15 and October 30.
