Bhubaneswar: Criminals on Thursday snatched away gold chain from a female senior citizen. The incident took place at Unit-VIII. The criminals snatched the chain from one Kanaklata Mohanty, 77, when she had come to witness the bahuda yatra. Balasore: Twelve kids, who fell sick after taking dinner on Tuesday night at an orphanage here, are recovering. The children are between age group of seven and 15. “The children are recovering. A medical team was sent to the orphanage,” said chief district medical officer Anup Ghose. Bhubaneswar: A 21-year-old lion on Thursday died in Nandankanan zoo. Sources said the death was caused due to old age and the animal had not been keeping well since a week. The lion population has come down to nine with this death.
