Sambalpur: Seven persons, including a municipal councillor, were arrested here for allegedly supplying and possessing illegal firearms. They have been identified as Rajesh Sahu, Sonu Prashad alias Babua, Aurangzeb Khan, Dilip Bagar, Ghana Patel, Sunil Mullick and Binu Sahu. Among them, Ghana is the councillor of ward No. 21 of Sambalpur Municipality. Police have seized six weapons and 21 live ammunition from them. he cops had arrested Rajesh and Sonu from Sindupankh Chhak on Tuesday for opening fire and injuring a 17-year-old boy at a roadside restaurant in Lapanga. Baripada: Two persons were killed and two others suffered serious injuries after a vehicle overturned at Rairangpur area in Mayurbhanj district late on Tuesday night. The deceased, Vinod Agarwal and Navin Jain, were returning in a SUV from Tata Nagar when the vehicle overturned killing the two on spot. he driver and another person have been admitted to hospital in a critical condition.
