Cuttack: The collection of blood samples for the DNA test to ascertain the biological parents of the abandoned girl child, who is now undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital, could not be conducted on Wednesday as one of the two couples failed to turn up. n Tuesday, the high court had ordered for drawing of the blood samples for the DNA test following the petition, filed by Sushanta Mallick, who had moved court, alleging that his newborn male child was swapped with a girl child at the obstetrics and gynaecology department on March 30. hough Sushanta and his wife Rashmita reached SCB on Wednesday, the other couple Nirupama and her husband failed to turn up.

Bhubaneswar: Rourkela police on Wednesday said they had busted a sex racket and arrested three persons, including two girls from a house at civil township, in connection with it. owever, the three customers managed to flee. Irate local residents damaged the vehicles that the client had left behind. he girls, both hailing from Bengal, and the youth were sent for medical check-up before being forwarded to court.

Sambalpur: The vigilance sleuths have arrested a tehesildar at Gaesilet in Bargarh district, around 110km from here on Wednesday. The tehesildar, Santosh Kumar Kalet, was allegedly taking bribe of Rs 4000 from Jayasankar Guru, a resident of Pada village to issue an order in Guru's favour in a land related case.
