Cuttack: Orissa High Court on Thursday issued a notice to Ashok Kumar Das, Railway Protection Force (RPF) inspector-in-charge, Cuttack, for alleged illegal arrest and detention in judicial custody two minor boys for seven days. The division bench of Chief Justice A.K. Goel and Justice A.K.Rath issued the notice on a PIL seeking compensation for illegal detention of Loknath Nayak, 13, and Bikash Patra, 14, of Jobra in Cuttack. Balasore: Barsa Swony Chaudhary , the daughter-in-law of former minister Raghunath Mohanty, who had alleged dowry torture by her in-laws, approached the court on Thursday for early disposal of her case which she had filed under Domestic Violence Act in October last year. Her counsel A.B. Nanda said the opposite parties were not receiving the court notice. She prayed for sending the notice through a special messenger to which the court agreed.
