Auction of mines

Bhubaneswar: The state government is set to auction six mines, including four iron-ore, in October, chief secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi said on Thursday. The proposed mineral blocks to be auctioned next month also includes a graphite and a limestone mine. Padhi said six mines had already been auctioned.

Flyover notice

Cuttack: The Orissa High Court has served a notice to the state government on the Bomikhal flyover collapse that had killed one person and left several injured on September 10. The notice followed a PIL filed by Nationalist Lawyer’s Forum convenor Sabyasachi Mohapatra who had demanded a thorough CBI investigation into the incident.
