Reopening of mines

Bhubaneswar: The state government on Saturday passed an order to reopen three more mines following recommendations of the inter-departmental committee on mines. The leaseholders have been asked to make additional deeds for the mines.

Forgery cuffs

Bhubaneswar: Kharavela Nagar police on Saturday arrested one Subhashis Sen, 45, on charges of impersonation. The accused had posed as Rajdip Chakraborty, senior marketing manager of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited.

Three held

Bhubaneswar: Three persons were arrested on Saturday for the murder of one Basant Mohanty, 35. A police official said one accused was still absconding.
