Balasore: After failing to get married to a girl, a 20-year old diploma engineering student, has allegedly made a video capturing intimate moments between him and the girl, which is getting viral in Baisingha area here. Police have arrested the youth and his associate who had helped him in making the video viral.

The accused persons have been identified as Mantu Singh, 20, a diploma engineering student and Ganesh Hembram, 22, a Plus Three final-year student. Both of them are natives of Gadagadia village in Baisinga police station limits. The mother of the victim lodged an FIR with the police after the video surfaced on the social media.

Inspector in charge of Baisinga police station Renubala Sahu said Mantu was the principal accused and Ganesh had assisted him in making the video viral.

The victim had an acquaintance with Mantu and they were also physically involved. Mantu had promised to marry her and had captured their intimate moments in a mobile phone. However, recently, the victim's marriage was fixed elsewhere by her parents and Mantu spread the video in public domain in retaliation.
