Bhubaneswar: To facilitate and support entrepreneurs in the state, the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) - ELITE will be inaugurated at Gothapatna here on Friday.
The centre had started functioning as an Integrated Centralised Data Repository June 28 last year to promote and preserve data regarding exploration and production of petroleum products in the country.
The secondary data centre, which is going to be operational at STPI Gothapatna, will be operated under disaster recovery centre in Noida.
The Bhubaneswar centre will be a major help for geology students, researchers, academics as well as various companies.
They will be able to conduct data analytics and research based on data available for exploration and production of petroleum products.
The STPI park will provide IT infrastructure support to home grown and foreign investors.
The STPI incubation programme will offer modern facilities such as network operation centre, high speed data communication, cloud services, plug & play, semi furnished and co-working IT space, convention hall, conference, my space, language lab, cafeteria, business lounge, ampitheatre and modern building management and other common services and facilities.
"The aim is to facilitate IT/ITES industry and boost exports. The STPI has established its additional facility at Bhubaneswar," said jurisdictional director, STPI, Manas Ranjan Panda.
Strike observed
The Kanika Shahid Smruti Sansad on Thurday observed a strike at Rajkanika in Kendrapara to protest against the "undignified" soil collection from memorials of martyrs Basu Sethi and Bisuni Madhual. The soil was being collected for the construction of a martyrs' tower in Bhubaneswar
