Bhubaneswar, May 4: Around 25,000 medical aspirants across the state will take the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) tomorrow to seek admissions in MBBS and BDS courses in medical colleges across the country.
This is the first time that students of the state are taking the NEET.
Administered by the Central Board of Secondary Education on behalf of the Medical Council of India, the test will be mostly based on the board’s Class XI-XII syllabus.
“Twenty-five centres have been set up in Bhubaneswar, Rourkela and Jeypore,” said the board’s regional director A.S. Verma.
The test will begin at 10am. Students must carry a postcard size photograph. “Students failing to bring the photograph will not be allowed to take the examination,” said an official.
