I have always been a tech geek. I got interested in HTML in fourth grade and since then it has kind of become my obsession. I have designed many web pages since Class VII.

Mark Zukerberg is my role model because he designed a web page while a varsity student and it has now become the world’s most-used social networking website.

Almost every one of us uses Facebook these days. Zuckerberg began using computers and writing software in middle school. His father taught him programming in the 1990s and later hired software developer David Newman to tutor him privately.

Newman called him a prodigy and said it was “tough to stay ahead of him”. Zuckerberg took a graduate course in programming near his home while still in high school. He enjoyed developing computer programs. In one, since his father’s dental practice was operated from their home, he built a software program that allowed all computers between the house and dental office to communicate with each other.

He is my inspiration because he managed to come up with something this big while still studying. I have always wanted to create my own operating system for computers since I got interested in technology. I know I’m not perfect in coding and HTML but over the years I have learnt to correct myself by learning from my mistakes. I have always been fascinated by technology. I just have the urge to tinker with it. When Zukerberg became the youngest millionaire, I just could not believe that a person not even 30 years old could achieve this. I would like to say to all technology lovers that one can never be perfect and you need to work hard to achieve your dream.
