Artisans and craftsmen with their Swayamsiddh Samman certificates at Bhanja Kala Mandap in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday. JSPL Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of Jindal Steel and Power Limited felicitated 33 artisans and craftsmen from Puri, who are engaged every year to build the Lord's chariot for the rath yatra, with second Swayamsiddh Samman. The chariot makers were honoured for their dedication and unmatched skill.

The Samman was presented in collaboration with Raghunath Mohapatra Art & Craft Foundation, which helped in the selection of the artisans and craftsmen. Each awardee was given financial aid of Rs 10,000. They have been selected on the basis of their seniority and years of service.
