Cyclists take part in a rally in Bhubaneswar on Sunday.
BJD activists on Sunday took out cycle rallies at various places across the state to commemorate the cycle expedition by former chief minister Biju Patnaik from Cuttack to Peshawar in 1932.
Biju was then 16 years old and a student of Ravenshaw College in Cuttack.
He was accompanied by two of his college mates in this 3200km journey.
The commemorative cycle rallies were organised as part of the centenary celebration of the great leader, who was a two-time chief minister of Odisha and an Union minister.
