Bhubaneswar, June 28: The application forms for Plus Two would be available online from June 30, an official of the higher education department said. The annual high school certificate results were declared today.

“Forms for Plus Two admissions will be available online on www.dheorissa.in from Saturday. The tentative dateline for the admission process and other details will be updated on the website by tomorrow,” said higher education secretary Aparajita Sarangi.

The department of higher education (DHE) has standardised the e-admission for all junior colleges with an online common application form. The instructions for filling up the e-forms will be provided on the website under the label “common prospectus”. One can also view a video clip of the instruction manual.

The prospectus will contain general guidelines, selection principles, reservation and weightage details in the first part and be available in the 410 Students’ Academic Management System (Sams) centres. Each of the 30 districts will have one nodal centre.

The second half, featuring the details of individual colleges such as seat matrix and subject availability, will be available only on the DHE website. Candidates can log on to www.dheorissa.in and click on the “apply online (Common Application Form)” and fill in details such as personal and academic information, choices of different colleges and streams in order of preference. After filling in all required fields, click “submit” and the form will appear.

There will be scope for cross-checking the information. In case of changes, click on “back to modify”, make the correction and click “confirm”. The site will generate a reference number and password, using which candidates can modify the form within 24 hours of online submission or handing over the printed copy at the nearest Sams resource centre, whichever is earlier. After 24 hours, the information is locked and cannot be modified. Though one has the option of filling up a new application form, submission of more than one would result in random rejection.

After submitting the form online, print out a “college copy” and an “applicant copy”. Paste a recent, self-attested colour passport sized photo on the college copy.

This copy has to be signed by the candidates as well as their parents or guardians before depositing it along with the copies of the marksheets and certificates at the nearest Sams centre. Only original, Internet generated copies will be accepted. The receiving official will verify the documents and return the “applicant copy” to the candidate with a “money receipt-cum-index number” (MRIN). The MRIN will be updated on the DHE website and serve as the key to all queries regarding e-admission. In case of queries, call the toll free helpline (155335).
