Bhubaneswar, June 27: Students will get duplicate mark sheets for Plus Two online, thanks to the Council of Higher Secondary Education that launched the facility today.

The facility will be useful for those, who have lost their original Plus Two mark sheets. "The facility has been made online for examinees up to 2015," said council chairman Basudev Chattoi.

Govind Maharana, who visited the council office today to get his mark sheet, said: "I lost it two months ago during a train journey. Now, I'll need my mark sheet and other documents to appear for an interview. This is my second visit to the office. Last time, I travelled all the way not knowing the office was closed for Raja."

Maharana, however, expressed his happiness knowing that the facility was now available online. "This will bring respite to thousands like me, who badly need the certificates either for higher studies or HR formalities. Better late than never," he said.

A council official said there had been cases where students were required to visit the office for three to four days consecutively, hence forced to pay on accommodation. "We are glad that all such problems are resolved," Chattoi said.

The examinees, who had taken the council board examinations from 1985 to 2015, can get their duplicate mark sheets from the website by paying Rs 100. Students can get their mark sheets within a week of filing application

The chairman said all decks are cleared for holding of Plus Two first-year exams, which would be held in March. The council has only been conducting Plus Two second-year exams. It will be the first time that exams are conducted for first-year students.

In a related development, the Plus Two instant examination re-conducted by the council started this morning. As many as 441 students are appearing for the test, which will conclude on June 30. Students, who have secured 210 marks but failed in one subject, are eligible to appear for the exam. As many as 33 centres in 30 district headquarters, besides one centre each in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Rourkela have been set up.
