Bhubaneswar: Visitors to Gopalpur will experience an amalgamation of art, dance and music at a two-day event here on April 14 and 15.

PAGo or Public Arts in Gopalpur is an attempt to involve tourists and local artists to create artworks for revival of art and ecotourism here.

The Berhampur Development Authority, in association with Odisha Tourism, recently released a video to popularise Gopalpur as an art town and eco-retreat hub.

The video was created by a group of youngsters from the city.

The Gopalpur coastline near the light house will have around eight art installations curated by the Bakul Foundation.

Cultural performances on traditional folk art forms of Ganjam, including bagha nacha, ranapa and ghantua mrudanga along with food kiosks serving Berhampuri delicacies will be the major attractions of the event.

Gopalpur is not only about beaches but there is a lot to it, said one of organisers.

"The event will bring the rich cultural traditions of the place into focus and highlight its maritime and trade history," said Sujit Mahapatra from Bakul Foundation.
