Bhubaneswar, Sept. 10: A woman was today robbed of gold jewellery worth Rs 1.5 lakh at knifepoint in the city.

The victim, Ipsita Pati, suffered injuries when the robbers attacked her with a knife. She was on her way to the local Kali temple on her husband's motorcycle when the robbery took place. They fled with two of her gold chains and four finger rings and also snatched away the motorcycle of her husband Pabitra Beura.

The two robbers, who were on a motorcycle, intercepted the duo and attacked them with knife. When Ipsita resisted their attempts to snatch away her gold chain, the robbers attacked herThe robbers did not stop at this.

"However, the same person came to our house around 8pm yesterday and said since the girls' fathers were in Balasore, he would take a photo of the room on his mobile phone and send it to the person concerned. He said if the father liked the room, he would make an advance payment right then," she said.
