Bhubaneswar, Sept. 8: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has started tracing expensive vehicles, allegedly gifted by the chairman-cum-managing director of Artha Tatwa (AT) Group Pradeep Sethy, to powerful personalities, including politicians.
The agency has asked the state transport department to provide information about the condition and ownership of an Innova car registered in the name of Sethy.
Kharavela Nagar police arrested Sethy on May 12 last year.
“During interrogation, he told us that he had gifted vehicles to a number of influential persons to run his company. We are trying to trace the vehicles and their current owners,” said a CBI official.
The CBI continued its interrogation of Bikash Swain, the owner of a vernacular newspaper, for his link with an advertisement agency, in which Sethy had invested money.
