Close shave RTOs grilled Appointment Three killed

Bhubaneswar: A bus carrying around 50 passengers caught fire at Delta Square on Monday evening. However, no one was injured in the incident as all the passengers got down from the vehicle, which caught fire because of a short circuit. The bus was going from Bhubaneswar to Duburi in Jajpur district. The vehicle has been gutted.  

RTOs grilled

Chandikhole: Four regional transport officials at Chandikhole were interrogated by cops for allegedly issuing registration certificates for non-existing vehicles. A broker was also detained. The cops have registered a case in this connection. 

Appointment

Bhubaneswar: The government on Monday appointed retired IAS officer, Ranglal Jamuda, as chairman of the State Food Commission. Jamuda, a 1981-batch IAS officer of Odisha cadre. 

Three killed

Paradip: Three persons were killed and three were critically injured in a road mishap near Kujanga’s Sandhapur in Jagatsingpur district. The accident occurred when the car in which they were travelling from Paradip was hit by an oil tanker. The injured have been shifted to SCB Medical College  and Hospital in Cuttack.
