Student drowns

Sambalpur: A Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology student drowned in a canal flowing into the Hirakud dam’s power channel near Bishnumandir Pada on Saturday. The deceased is Srinivas Barik of Bhubaneswar. 

Sand art fest

Bhubaneswar: The five-day International Sand Art Festival at Chandrabhaga beach will start from December 1. The objective of the festival is to encourage young sand artists of the state. It also aims to attract tourists.
