Bhubaneswar, May 18: Students across the Indian School Certificate Examinations (ICSE) schools celebrated as the results were announced for its Class X (ICSE) and XII (ISC) board exams.
Around 10,000 students from 40 schools across the state, including seven schools in Bhubaneswar, had appeared for the board examinations.
The results were uploaded on the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations' website at 11.30am, and the students were able to check their results on www.cisce.org by entering their course code and the seven-digit unique identity number.
Schools can access the results by logging on to the council's career portal using the principal's login ID and password. The results are also available through SMS texts.
Leading English medium schools in Bhubaneswar such as Loyola, Stewart, St Joseph's and Venkateswar English Medium School secured 100 per cent pass percentage.
The total pass percentage in the state for Class X is 98.49, while that for Class XII is 96.28 per cent.
Preetiman Mishra of Stewart School and Ashutosh Pradhan of SCB Medical Public School, both in Cuttack, scored 98 per cent in the Class X exams, while Nuugyanush Sahoo from Cambridge School, Cuttack, scored 97.33 per cent and Satya Ranjan Mallick got 96.66 per cent.
Ashutosh, who is at present out of town for a junior science Olympiad, said he would prepare for IIT entrance exams.
Last year, the result was announced on May 17 and 21 for the ISC and the ICSE, respectively. The ICSE exams began on February 27 and ended on March 30, while the ISC exams commenced on February 9 and ended on April 1.
