Bhubaneswar, July 17: Odia athletes are putting up a good show at the 57th National Inter State Senior Athletics Championships 2017 that is being hosted at Guntur in Andhra Pradesh.

"We have given our best and are hopeful that at least a few from Odisha will be selected for the London meet," Srabani said.

Athletics Federation of India (AFI) secretary-general C.K. Valson, who was in Bhubaneswar for the recently concluded Asian Athletics Championship, had said: "Those athletes, who have already attained the qualifying mark for the IAAF World Championships here, will take part in the Guntur meet to improve their performance, while for others, it is a golden chance to impress the selection committee."
The selection committee for finalising the Indian team for the world championships is scheduled to meet on July 20 at the AFI headquarters in New Delhi.
