Bhawanipatna: Police on Sunday arrested three youths, including the main accused, in the case of a viral video that came to light at Dharamgarh here. The accused are Chittaranjan Guru, the main accused, and Mukunda Guru and Sushant Pradhani.

The arrests were made following a complaint lodged by a girl with Junagarh police on Friday. The victim said the trio forced her to drink alcohol. Once she was intoxicated, one of them raped her while the other two filmed the incident on their mobile phones.

Later, they made the video viral on social media.

Kalahandi superintendent of police M. Sandeep Sampad said an inquiry was still going on in the incident and those who circulated the video would also be booked.

"We have arrested three persons, including the main accused. Investigation is still going on and those found guilty of circulating the video will also be booked," he said.

Sources said the incident occurred on March 31 when the girl was returning from a temple. Finding her alone, the youths dragged her to a forest near Dharamgarh where the whole incident occurred.
