SCHOOL CRICKET
Guwahati, Sept. 14: Delhi Public School (DPS), Guwahati, and South Point School registered easy wins in the first Gokul Hazarika (under-14) inter-school cricket championship at Dispur today.
DPS outclassed Little Flower High School by 41 runs, while South Point posted an eight-wicket victory over Don Bosco, Guwahati.
Batting first, DPS rode Sangam Bora?s 33 runs to compile 95 for nine in 20 overs and skittled out Little Flower for 59. Simanta and Chinmoy shared three wickets each.
In the other match, South Point restricted Don Bosco to 89 all out and romped home for two wickets with Rajdeep Sarma (25) scoring the highest.
Oil India Ltd Higher Secondary School, Duliajan, will meet Sanskriti Gurukul Grammar School, Guwahati, tomorrow. DPS will play Srimanta Shankar Academy.
