Guwahati, May 31: Kendriya Vidyalaya, Borjhar will meet Bright Future English School, while LOG Hindi High School clash with Shrimanta Shankar Academy in the semi-finals of the 8th Dhan Sena Sinha Inter-school Cricket Tournament at Latasil playground here tomorrow.
KV Borjhar edged into the semi-final getting the better of Blue Bird English School by a narrow margin of only two runs in a quarter-final match played yesterday. Put into bat first, KV posted 136 for seven in 18 overs. In their reply, Blue Bird were restricted to 134 for nine in 18 overs.
Earlier in the day, Bright Future School overcame St Francis Sr Secondary School by only one run in a truncated match of five overs a side, as the match was abandoned due to rain the previous day. Bright Future posted 42 for three while St Francis were restricted to 41 for six.
In another quarter-final encounter later in the day, Shankar Academy handed an eight run defeat to KV Khanapara. Shankar Academy scored 115 for nine in 18 overs while KVK were restricted to 107 for eight in their reply.
On Tuesday, LOG School had stormed into the semi-finals crushing DAV High School by 10 wickets in their quarter-final match. Put to bat, DAV were restricted to 80 for six in 12 overs of the truncated match and LOG reached 81 for no loss in 8.5 overs.
