Kohima, Nov. 18: Nagaland chief minister Neiphiu Rio today congratulated the Kohima Science College, Jotsoma, on completing 50 years of existence.
Speaking on the occasion, Rio paid respect to the pioneers, landowners, organising committee, faculty members and staff for making the vision a reality.
“Today, Naga society is known as the most progressive,” he said and attributed the pioneers for their valuable contributions.
He said Kohima Science College has produced thousands, who excelled in academics and in other fields, because of the dedication of the faculty members.
Exhorting the students, the chief minister asked them to be committed in whatever discipline they take up and to excel. He promised that the government would give every support available to improve the infrastructure and welfare of the students.
“It is our responsibility to bring people forward in education and improve the literacy rate,” he said.
