Guwahati, May 8: Police arrested an Ulfa rebel identified as Arup Deka, 20, from Ganeshpara today. The police said Deka is a member of Ulfa’s 709 battalion and suspected to be involved in several subversive activities, including the blast at Jyotikuchi. The accused hails from Musalpur in Baksa district. Guwahati: Two motorcycle-borne youths snatched a bag containing Rs 3 lakh from G. Buragohain in the Beltola area on Friday.
