Jorhat, April 20: Laloti Das, 62, a murder convict serving a life sentence at the central jail here, died at Jorhat Medical College and Hospital today. He was admitted to the JMCH following chest pain at 11.30 am today. Tinsukia: A suspected Ulfa militant, Nijut Dangaria, was arrested by the army from Kakapathar on Thursday night. They said that as the area where the wild animal was found dead was close to the boundary of the park some unscrupulous elements might have taken away the horn in the night or in the wee hours.
