Minor drowns Programme Conference Trampled Exhibition

Minor drowns

Dhubri, Aug. 20: Jahan Uddin, 10, of Chatlarpar village of Dhubri district drowned while crossing a narrow water channel last night. Police searched the area but the boy could not be found, a source said.

Programme

Kokrajhar: A two-day Media Peace Intervention Training Progra-mme is being organised by the department of mass communication, Rajiv Gandhi University, Itanagar, and North Easgtern Social Research Centre, Guwahati, at Central Institute of Technology, Kokrajhar, for journalists on Thursday and Friday from 10am.

Conference

Guwahati: Assam Don Bosco University in collaboration with the department of commerce, Gauhati University, will hold a two-day national conference on Emerging Trends in Entrepreneurship Development in Northeast India, at Don Bosco College of Engineering and Technology, Azara, from Friday.

Trampled

Kokrajhar: One person, Surya Gauria, 45, was trampled by a wild elephant at Dangalbasti in Assam’s Udalguri district on Wednesday while trying to chase away the animal.

Exhibition

Guwahati: The 10th edition of the annual general exhibition of SFS School, Narengi, was organised on its Satgaon campus here. Pramod Grover, the project co-ordinator of Regional Science Centre, Guwahati, inaugurated the exhibition.
