She also has another novel in the pipeline, based on the last days of Ahom king Rudra Singha, aptly titled Rudrasinghar Sesor Dosta Din.

The plot of the story is the mysterious death of the king just days before he was planning to launch an attack on Gaur, modern-day Bengal, and the subsequent prosecution of some devdasis on charges of killing the king.

She will also give finishing touches to another book, which will be a compilation of works of various scholars writing on Ravan, the king of Lanka in the Ramayan. Goswami, for the record, is an authority on the epic.

She also disclosed that she has just finished editing the English translation of incarcerated Ulfa leader Mithinga Daimari?s poetry collection. Pradip Acharya and Manjit Baruah, academicians of Delhi University, have done the translations.

Goswami will also utilise her stay in Guwahati to realise another ambitious plan ? of turning her Gandhibasti residence into a museum. ?My ancestors were satradhikars. So we have a large collection of traditional artefacts. Apart from these, the museum will also house my literary works,? she added.
