Mizoram Games concludes

The Mizoram State Games, which concluded on Friday, saw the participation of 7,447 athletes from 40 Assembly constituencies in 32 disciplines.

Governor P.S. Sreedharan Pillai, who attended the closing ceremony, said the state games was a welcome initiative and development exercise for many talented sportspersons.

Aizawl East-I, who bagged 25 gold, 18 silver and 16 bronze, was declared the overall champion.

Elisian Medai from Lunglei East, who bagged three gold and one silver, was adjudged the best athlete (women) and Lalsangliana from Aizawl South-I, who bagged five gold, won the best athlete (men) award.
