Yoga Nationals

Imphal, Nov.19: Manipur won the champion’s title in the eighth yoga physique championship with 12 gold, 12 silver and 11 bronze medals. Assam took the second position with three gold medals and a bronze.

The three-day championship concluded today at Manipur Kangshang inside the Khuman Lampak Sports Complex. Nearly 180 players from Assam, Nagaland, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Jharkhand and hosts Manipur participated in the championship.

Andhra Pradesh became second runners-up (1 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze), followed by Arunachal Pradesh (2 silver), Tripura and Nagaland (1 bronze each).

Manipur sports minister A. Aza gave away the prizes to the winners of the meet, organised by the Yoga Physique Institute and Studies.
