Imphal, Jan. 22: Lilong Sports Association (LSA), Iron Gym Oinam (IGO)-A, Youth Development (YDC) and Youth Volleyball Association entered the quarter-finals of the 1st Manipur State-Level Cash Prize Junior Volleyball Tournament at Mapal Kangjeibung here today.
LSA beat Iron Gym Oinam-B 3-0; IGO-A beat Khaidem Golden Youth Club 3-1; YDC beat Rising Club Churchandpur 3-2; and YVA beat Standard Youth Development Association 3-1. Naorem Youth Volleyball Association (NYVA)-A will meet Social Educational Welfare and Athletics, Naorem Youth Volleyball Association (NYVA)-B will meet IGO-B and RCCC clash with KGYC tomorrow.
Wushu medals: Assam clinched six medals, comprising a gold, two silver and three bronze medals, in the 13th Junior National Wushu Championship at Digvijay Singh Stadium, Rajnandgaon in Chhattisgarh from January 15 to 19.
Fencing team: The Assam Fencing Association announced a 24-member contingent for the 25th National Fencing Championship at Nasik from February 25 to 28.
