Aizawl, June 26: PCC president Lalthanhawla has denied any split in the party as announced by his detractors and party dissidents.
Lalthanhawla said J. Lalsangzuala and his followers would have left the party if they had been successful in dethroning him.
He said his detractors leaving the party fold did not amount to a split in the party.
?J. Lalsangzuala and his colleagues left the Congress party because of dissatisfaction. Since they have no followers, this does not amount to a split in the party. These people have left the Congress because they lost the party elections. This selfishness is what the Congress cannot tolerate,? Lalthanhawla said at the Congress Bhavan on Friday.
Fifteen new members, including former leaders of the Mizoram People?s Conference and the Mizo National Front, were also inducted into the party.
Court order: District court has notified the Kulikawn police station to start file a suo motu case after the death of Lawmzuala in the Falkawn village went unreported.
The victim died after he was beaten up by two close relatives, Laldina and Chhantea.
According to reports, the victim?s father, R. Thangliana, had requested the two men to teach his son a lesson.
Lawmzuala was summoned him to the village cemetery, where the two men beat him to death.
