Nagaon, Sept. 8: A bus driver was gunned down and another kidnapped by militants of the Karbi Longri NC Hills Liberation Front at Langthang under Samaguri police station last night.

Nagaon police said the two drivers — Babujan Hazarika and Pradip Boro — were waiting near their buses at Langthang Bazar when three activists of the outfit reached the spot and demanded money from them. When the drivers refused to pay, they shot Boro dead and kidnapped Hazarika.

Boro’s body was recovered this morning. A police team is searching for Hazarika.
