Dhubri, Dec. 25: A BSF jawan was charred to death in a devastating fire at the border outpost in Bhogdhar Char along the Indo-Bangladesh border in the wee hours today.
The area falls under Dhubri police station.
Murarilal Kalia, 30, an assistant sub-inspector (ASI), was sleeping in the radio operator’s room where a short-circuit caused the fire.
Four rooms were gutted in the fire.
The fire was brought under control after more than three hours.
